Manly Sea Eagles rebrand

We were tasked with developing an exciting new identity and emblem that brings a fresh, modern look whilst also paying homage to the Club’s rich history.

To honour the rich legacy of the Sea Eagles, the traditional Maroon and White scheme remains at the centre of the team’s new identity.

The new logo required a complete redraw that was based off the previous Sea Eagle head. The linework is smooth and consistent, whilst creating a digitally-optmised circular shape.

However, more than just a logo refresh was needed to bring the Manly Sea Eagles brand into the modern era. The Club also required new brand elements, including the MW Monogram and visual supporting graphics.

The new powerful Sea Eagle logo carries forward elements of the past Manly emblems including;

  • Maroon and White like traditional logos seen from the Club’s inception until 1977.
  • A familiar circular motif that the Sea Eagles have incorporated from 1978.
  • A sign of strength seen in the aggressive eagle features from the 2003 – 2023 emblem.
  • A slanted typeface representative of forward movement and progress, with Manly Warringah clearly showcased to represent the Club’s historic name.
  • A subtle nod to the Manly Warringah legacy with a hidden ‘M’ and ‘W’ element in the neck of the Sea Eagle.

The logo was also designed with the key sub brands in mind, including Membership and Corporate. This now allows the club to utilise their core logo across other areas of the business to ensure consistency and brand awareness.
